Port
Bunks (Double & Single)
The
double bunk offers good room
for the average couple with
plenty of headroom. Storage
is available around and under
the bunks. Particularly good
is the ability to see out the
long side windows for views
of your favourite anchorage.
Ventilation is available from
a hatch overhead.
Tip: Make
good use of the optional blinds
to ensure complete privacy
when playing under the sheets |

Starboard
Bunks (Double & Single)
The
Starboard bunks are a mirror
of those on the Port side.
The privacy offered by having
two hulls, makes the GBE an
ideal boat for two couples,
or for families including a
couple of kids.
Tip: Try
to organise anchorage with
good starboard side views so
you can wake to something spectacular. |

Galley
- Original Design
This picture depicts the original layout
for the galley. The sink is now located in
board, freeing space in the aft section for
a recess for your choice of stove. This picture
also depicts the use of a Weaco Fridge/ Freeze,
while the cavity is suitable for any of a
number of refrigeration options. Cupboards
are available under sink, behind the sink
(in board) and the out board cupboard (right)
is ideal for crockery and cutlery.
Tip: The
galley is ideal for one person,
try not to be that person. |

Galley
- Original Design
The galley is located behind the companionway,
with only two steps up to bridgedeck level
and easy delivery of dinner to the cockpit.
Ventilation is available by a hatch in the
aft bulkhead, with air typically coming from
forward in the hull. Views and natural lighting
come from the large companionway and the
long window out board.
Tip: Those
who like a midnight snack should
aim to sleep in the port hull. |

Galley
- Original Design
For
simplicity you may want to
use a single butane stove.
This can be stowed when more
preparation space is required.
Tip: The
butane stoves are more expensive
to run, but cheaper to purchase
than the traditional metho
variety. |

Engine
Pod
Tucked
under the cockpit table, the
vertical engine lift system
has held engines up to 25 HP,
choose 15, or 9.9 HP to keep
the weight down. The fuel bay
is located under the floor
directly behind the engine,
and accommodates up to a 25
Litre tank.
Tip: Ensure
you lift the motor while sailing
for an extra knot of boatspeed. |

Port
Bow Bunk
In
the bow of both hulls are full
length single berths. This
are ample for the average adult,
and excellent for the kids.
Alternatively, use the forward
space for stowage of dinghies,
etc.
This picture includes optional in board hatch
for additional ventilation in the warmer
climates.
Tip: Stow
nuisance/noisy members of crew
in the forward bunks, then
block in with stores, spinnakers
and other items to create a
suitable baffle. |

Head
The
head is located aft in
the Starboard hull. It
makes efficient use of
space including regular
hull headroom. The vanity
located in board (right)
includes a basin, cupboard
under and behind (large).
This picture depicts the inclusion of an
electric head for greater convienence, with
the addition of pressurised water, shower
tap and electric pump out shower bilge.
Privacy is delivered through the simplicity
of a shower curtain or blind.
Tip: You'll
have just as much fun, pulling
the shower out the window and "freshing
down" there
in the warmer climates. |
